Our web hosting platform has many security features in place to help minimise the chances of your website being hacked and compromised. Some features are designed to prevent hackers from even reaching the hosting platform.

Platform Security

Known evil “command and control” networks are blocked at the network edge. Automated brute force attack prevention techniques are in use for all websites. Common HTTP attack techniques such as SQL Injection are stopped using web application firewall rules. We also have an on-demand anti-malware scanner we can run across any of your sites should they become compromised.

Brute Force Protection

Logins to the platform are rate-limited in such a way that the attempts are rejected after a certain number of invalid attempts, for example after 6 failed logins no logins are accepted for a minute. If the minute passes and another 5 failures occur, logins are rejected for 5 minutes, the delay increases as the failures increase. The limit is designed as such so any brute force attacks are useless as they would not have enough time to complete.

Suspicious Request Protection

Security of websites is increased by presenting suspicious requests with a captcha filter, thus further preventing brute force login attempts.
